my big family (dirdjo pandojo family) held a big occasion on 29-30 december this year to solemnize my grand-grandfather (called 'buyut' in javanese) birthday. (I don't actually know the exact birth-day)we held 'campur sari' and 'wayang' show. 29 dec was campur sari and 30 dec was 'kenduri' (genduren in javanese) and puppet show.
this event's purpose is to 'kirim doa', entertain neighbors and poor people and meet the whole family. my grand-grand father tought their childern (my father's uncles and aunties) that we have to share joy to other people especially the poor. but, we should write our goodness on sand, so that easily to write off and being forgotten. but, we should write other people's goodness on stone. so we can always remember their kindness. the meaning of life if we can be meaningful to other people.
